A 46-year-old Poulsbo man died of an apparent cardiac arrest at the Bainbridge ferry terminal Thursday morning, according to the Bainbridge Island Fire Department.

BIFD Capt. Greg Borgen said medical crews responded to the terminal passenger loading area at 6:54 a.m. after receiving a report of a man having difficulty breathing. The man collapsed shortly after aid arrived.

Borgen said personnel performed CPR for an hour but could not revive the man. The man had apparently been waiting to get on a ferry to Seattle when the episode occurred.
