Glass windows are no deterrent for intoxicated boyfriend

A 24-year-old Poulsbo man was arrested early Sunday morning after reportedly breaking residential windows to get to his girlfriend, Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputies report.

The suspect was taken into custody in Suquamish after neighbors in the 18000 block of Division Avenue reported the man arrived at a house containing his 27-year-old girlfriend. The man had previously been told at a nearby bar he wasn’t welcome to visit. The suspect was intoxicated, yelled derogatory terms at his girlfriend and was “angry and assaultive,” the report states.

Other roommates at the house helped to keep the suspect outside, even as he attempted to gain entry by breaking through a window. One witness received cuts from flying glass to her hand and face.

The suspect was arrested for residential burglary, assault and harassment, with bail set at $90,000.
