SEATTLE — The Kingston/Edmonds ferry should be back up and running Tuesday on a regular schedule after the winter storm cancelled runs on Monday.

Citing "extreme weather conditions," the Washington State Ferries' web site stated most of Monday's Kingston/Edmonds runs were cancelled because of fuel service disruption on the Hyak. Three runs from Kingston and three from Edmonds were cancelled; service was restored with the 3:10 p.m. sailing from Kingston, according to the WSF Web site.

As for the rest of the week, the Kingston/Edmonds ferry will be on a holiday schedule on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, as well as New Year's Day.

A link to the WSF schedule is provided at www.northkitsapherald.com.
