Five injured in crash at 308 and Norbut; 3-year-old airlifted

POULSBO — Five people were injured in a two-car crash at State Route 308 and Norbut Lane, one mile south of Poulsbo, Feb. 19.

Drugs and alcohol were not a factor, according to Washington State Patrol.

The crash occurred when a 2008 Chevy Silverado pickup, traveling westbound on 308, crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2002 Buick Century sedan traveling eastbound.

The crash occurred at 12:02 p.m. The eastbound lane was blocked for nearly four hours.

Two 3-year-old passengers in the sedan were taken to Harrison Medical Center in Silverdale, and one of the 3-year-olds was then airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

All others were taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton: The driver of the pickup, Michelle N. Eley, 31, of Silverdale; the driver of the sedan, Nancy I. Bryant, 60, of Bremerton; and another sedan passenger, James L. Bryant of Bremerton.

Charges are pending, Washington State Patrol reported.
