Poulsbo Chamber honors Marines
The Greater Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce recently honored a group of Marines for their Viking Fest parade entry. Sgt. Major Brent Cook and his fellow Marines’ entry was an armored Bear Cat Unit accompanied by fully geared, combat-ready Marines.
“As they (Marines) proceeded through Downtown Poulsbo at this year’s Viking Fest parade, the reception was so astounding it left me with goosebumps,”
Cook said. “I want to personally thank the community of Poulsbo for your support of our armed services. Since this is the first year of involvement in the parade and such a positive experience for my Marines, we are looking forward to participating in the future.”
The Marines were honored with the 2008 Parade Directors’ award.
