Indianola shed fire likely intentional

INDIANOLA — A shed about 20 feet from an Indianola residence may have been intentionally set on fire the morning of Oct. 18.

Emergency crews were dispatched to a home off Orca Drive at 12:34 a.m. to a report of a house fire. What crews found was a 10-by-10 foot outbuilding on fire, according to a report from North Kitsap Fire & Rescue spokeswoman Michele Laboda.

Officials investigating the scene including the Suquamish Police Department and Kitsap County Fire Marshal "have ruled out accidental causes," according to the report.

There were no injuries.

The incident is under investigation.

Crews from NKF&R and Poulsbo Fire responded to the fire after the home's residents called 911. Two adults and three children exited the house safely.

Anyone with information about the fire is encouraged to call the Fire Marshal's Office at 360-337-5777, or Suquamish police, 360-598-4334.
