Poulsbo history double feature to focus on Lemolo, new book

POULSBO — Poulsbo Historical Society will host a presentation on Lemolo  and introduce the newly-published book on Poulsbo Aug. 22. The presentation begins at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at Poulsbo City Hall, 200 NE Moe Street.

Peggy Stanley, Kathy Hogan and Jeanne Snouaert will discuss the history of Lemolo to start the evening off. Then, “Images of America — Poulsbo,” a pictorial history book, will be discussed.

Judy Driscoll and Sherry White of the Poulsbo Historical Society and Museum authored the book as part of Arcadia Publishing’s Images of America series.

Driscoll and White will be on-hand to sign copies of their book. The 128-page book contains 218 photos in four chapters: Water — Our Lifeblood; Land — Our Refuge; Community — Our Strength; and Celebration — Our Joy.

Driscoll previously authored “The Spirit of Poulsbo.”

The public is welcome to attend, and the historical society suggests a $5 donation from non-members, and $2 from members.
