POULSBO Twenty-one dollars and 61 cents may not seem like a lot to most people, but thats exactly what Sophie Strawbridge of Poulsbo gave as Bellringer continued exceeding all expectations.
In a note written to the Raab Foundation, the 4-year-old wrote, I wanted to donate some of my Christmas money to help buy food for kids who need it.
She also added a P.S.: I also included money from my piggy bank.
Others also made end-of-the-year donations to the fund as it climbed just beyond the $34,000 mark.
Bellringer, a part of the Raab Foundation, which is administered by the Poulsbo Noon Lions Club, provides one-time assistance of food, help with bills, emergency transportation and Christmas food baskets through the North Kitsap Fishline.
