Quade wins in landslide to become Poulsbo's next mayor
Kathryn Quade took her large primary counts and transferred them to Tuesday's General Election, according to unofficial results from the Kitsap County Auditor's Office.
Quade, who will serve a four-year term, garnered 1,148 votes (66.90 percent) to incumbent Mayor Donna Jean Bruce's 558 (32.52 percent).
Ed Stern retained his seat in City of Poulsbo Council Position No. 5 with 986 votes (61.32 percent) to challenger Stan Kennedy's 611 (38 percent) and Dale C. Rudolph earned the right to serve another term with 1,003 votes (62.38 percent) to Herb Kai's 597 (37.13 percent) in the race for City of Poulsbo Council Position No. 6.
City of Poulsbo Council Position No. 7 will go to new council member Kim Crowder, who ran unopposed.
The North Kitsap School District No. 400 Director District 1 went to Tom Anderson who bested Brian Maule by a tally of 5,736 votes (68.27 percent) to 2,607 (31.03 percent) and North Kitsap School District No. 400 Director District 3 was earned by Melanie S. Mohler, who took 5,152 votes (62.26 percent) to Matthew Cleverley's 3,076 (37.17 percent).
The six-year term in Kitsap County Fire District No. 18 Commissioner Position 4 will be repeated by incumbent David Ellingson, who garnered 2,583 votes (60.62 percent) to challenger
Stan Thalberg's 1,646 (38.63 percent).
All other races in North Kitsap were uncontested:
