HANSVILLE — It’s the time of year to indulge into two things that always go hand-in-hand very well in Hansville — pie and politics.

The Hansville Community Center Board and the League of Women Voters will be sponsoring a Candidate’s Night Forum at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at Buck Lake Park. Homemade pie will be served prior the forum, which begins at 7 p.m., allowing residents a chance to socialize with the candidates.

Candidates expected to attend include Phil Rockefeller and Doug Kitchens for the State Senator District 23 position; Sherry Appleton, Frank Mahaffay and Dan Goebel for Position 1, District 23, in the House of Representatives; Terry Ducheane and Beverly Woods for Position 2, District 23, in House of Representatives; Chris Endresen and Scott Henden for the County Commissioner District 1 Position; and Charlotte Garrido and Jan Angel for the County Commissioner District 2 Position.

The format will allow for speeches and a question and answer period.
