Albertsons gas

station robbed at gun point

KINGSTON — An armed robbery took place at the Kingston Albertsons gas station and convenience store on the evening of June 9.

The suspect entered the gas station at approximately 9:30 p.m last Wednesday and went into the facility’s bathroom before approaching an employee behind the register, according to a Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office report.

At the counter, the suspect pulled out a chrome semi-automatic handgun with a black handle and said to the victim, “Have you ever been robbed? You know what I want. Give me all the money. Lift up the till, give me all the ones, fives, all of it. Don’t make me do anything stupid.”

The victim said the suspect put the cash in his sweatshirt pocket before fleeing on foot toward the northeast.

The suspect was described as a dark-skinned white male, between the ages of 23 and 25, approximately 6’1” to 6’2” in height, possibly 180-200 pounds. His face was covered with a bandanna and he was wearing a dark colored sweat suit with a white stripe on the outside of each pant leg from top to bottom and a hood pulled up over his head.

It is unknown how much money was taken or what type of handgun he used. The area was dusted for fingerprints, but unusable smudges were found. No other evidence was found.

No one else was in the store at the time of the robbery, however, while the suspect was in the bathroom, a person came into the store, asked for matches and the left. He was wearing a black long sleeve sweatshirt with a hood covering his head, a white tee shirt, red sweat pants and light colored athletic shoes, according to the KCSO report.

The case is still under investigation. Anyone who has any information regarding this incident, is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (360) 337-7101.
