MILLER BAY — The Kitsap County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the man who was killed in a one-car collision on Miller Bay Road Feb. 17.

Aaron Kulas, 26, died after being ejected from his 1969 Ford Fairlane when it crashed in the 24800 block of Miller Bay Road between NE West Kingston Road and NE Orseth Road.

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office deputies said that Kulas failed to negotiate a curve on Miller Bay. The car left the road, struck a tree, rolled on its right side and struck a second tree where it stopped.

Kulas was considered by deputies as a transient but had a history of residences on Perry Avenue in East Bremerton and on Border Way in Gamblewood, said Kitsap County Sheriff’s public information officer Scott Wilson.

It is unclear as to how fast Kulas was driving, Wilson said. The coroner’s office does not know yet if alcohol or drugs were involved.
