North Kitsap plans traditional egg hunts and Easter services

The following North Kitsap churches have announced the following services for Holy Week:

Ark Bible Church, 6667 Fern Street in Suquamish will have Easter Service at 10:30 a.m. with pastor Marv Christenson presiding.

Bayside Community Church, 25992 Barber Cut Off Road in Kingston will host Easter services at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Information: 360-297-2000.

Bible Baptist Church, 2490 East Jacobson Road, in Poulsbo will hold services at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Easter Sunday. Master Chief David Harper of Naval Subase Bangor will be the special speaker at all three services. Information: 360-779-5665.

Breidablik Baptist Church, 239 Lofall Road will hold Easter services at 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Information: 360-779-6844.

Christ Memorial Church, at 8th and Hostmark in Poulsbo will have a Good Friday service at 7:30 p.m. Easter services are set for 7 a.m., 8 a.m., 9:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Information: 360-779-5515.

Faith Episcopal Church of Kingston will have Easter service at 9 a.m. Information: 360-297-4038.

Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 26736 Miller Bay Road in Kingston will have a 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. Easter Service. A continental breakfast will be served in between. Information: 360-297-2736.

First Lutheran Church, 18920 4th Ave. in Poulsbo has Easter services set for 6:30 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Breakfast will be served in between services 7:30 a.m to 9 a.m. in the Christian Center. Information: 360-779-2622.

The Gathering Church, 28096 Hansville Road, in Kingston offers an Easter service at 11:15 a.m. Information: 360-638-2792.

Hansville Community Church offers an 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Easter service. Information: 360-638-2335.

Liberty Bay Presbyterian Church, 18561 Hwy. 305 (Hwy. 305 and Harrison) in Poulsbo will present “The Crucifixion” by John Stainer 7 p.m. Friday with guest organist Erik S. Cardwell. The presentation is directed by Paul G. Nakhla.

Easter sunrise services will be held at 6:30 a.m. on the church lawn, breakfast to follow. The Easter praise and worship service starts at 11 a.m. Information: 360-779-7545.

Keyport Bible Church, 15270 Washington Ave. is holding Easter services at 11 a.m. Information: 360-779-4235.

North Kitsap Baptist Church, 20516 Little Valley Road in Poulsbo is having Good Friday services at 7 p.m. Easter services will be at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Information: 360-779-4689 or 779-6849.

Poulsbo Church of the Nazarene, 22097 Viking Way NW in Poulsbo will have Easter services at 10:30 a.m. Information: 360-779-7759.

St. Charles Episcopal will hold an 8:30 a.m. service at St. Paul’s in Port Gamble; a 10:30 a.m. service will be held at St. Charles, Hwy. 305 and Little Valley Road in Poulsbo. Information: 360-779-3524.

St. Olaf’s Catholic Church 18943 Caldart Lane in Poulsbo is celebrating Holy week with services beginning 7 p.m. Thursday with a mass of the Lord’s Supper.

Good Friday service will be held at 7 p.m. with a veneration of the cross, communion and reading of the Lord’s Passion. The stations of the cross will be said at noon at St. Peter’s Mission in Suquamish and at 12:30 (in Spanish) at St. Olaf’s. A scriptural rosary meditation on the passion of the lord Jesus will be led by the youth of St. Olaf’s parish at 3 p.m.

A Saturday evening Easter vigil is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. New members will be inducted into the Catholic faith.

On Easter Sunday, a sunrise service is offered at 7:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Mission; a 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. service is offered at St. Olaf’s with Easter music performed by the choir. Information: 360-779-4291.

Suquamish Community Congregational United Church of Christ will hold an Easter sunrise service at 6 a.m. at the slab in downtown Suquamish and a 10:30 Service at the church, 18732 Division Ave. 360-598-4434.

Vinland Lutheran Church, 2750 Finn Hill Road in Poulsbo will hold Easter service at 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. with breakfast served in between. Information: 779-3428 or 779-3238.
