"Do you have a view on a local issue you'd like to express? Sound-Off is a public forum. The views are the opinion of the writer, and not necessarily of the newspaper. Preserve 'small town character' The 6th Avenue Taj Mahal pictured in your article (Herald, Jan. 6) about preservtion of historic neighborhood is an excellent example of the need for some type of neighborhood impact study regarding home design. No one wants more building requirements than already exist and with the consideration of new home builders, there would be no need. However, when a house is built with obvious disregard to the impact on the neighbors, it is arrogance with a capital A. This is the type of irresponsibility that leads to new building restrictions. Hopefully, Poulsbo can keep existing neighborhood flavor without excessive cost. As stted in the article, the small town character...is an important aspect ofthe city. Let's try to keep it that way.
