IN OUR OPINION

" IN OUR OPINION Reason for celebration The Bellringer Fund has exceeded its $20,000 goal for the second year in a row with donations still arriving every day. The fund was established by Frank and Mabel Raab 49 years ago to assist North Kitsap families. Now overseen by the Raab Foundation, it continues to provide food, toys and help with basic needs throughout the year. We are privileged at the Herald to be a collection point for funds, so we get the opportunity to personally thank the individuals who come in with a donation. For those of you we didn't have an opportunity to thank personally on behalf of your neighbors, thank you for remembering that not everybody is blessed with enough money for food, rent and life's daily necessities. We are truly blessed to live in a community which gives so generously to Bellringer and to the many other requests throughout the year. "
