Donations pouring in

"A steady stream of donations has the Bellringer Fund growing quickly as the community reaches out to less fortunate neighbors. Bellringer Fund is sponsored by the Raab Foundation and the Poulsbo Noon Lions Club. The goal for this year's fund is $20,000-the same goal the fund reached last year. Donations are used to purchase toys and food baskets for people in need. Funds are also distributed throughout the year as needed to assist with fuel bills and other essential needs. Contributions may be made at Kitsap Bank in Poulsbo, the North Kitsap Herald office (next to Dairy Queen) on Highway 305 in Poulsbo, or checks may be mailed to the Herald office, P. O. Box 278, Poulsbo 98370. Only cash or checks are accepted. Donations may also be made in memory of an individual or family. The Herald prints an update in each issue during the holiday season that includes the names of recent contributors, as well as the amounts of anonymous donations. New toys are also being collected for a North Kitsap Toy Drive sponsored by Jennifer's, Heritage Fireplace, Kitsap Community Federal Credit Union, Sir Bean, and the North Kitsap Herald. Unwrapped toys and gift certificates may be brought to any of these locations from Nov. 27 to Dec. 14. All toys will be distributed to Fishline. Any person or family who would like to receive food or toys distributed by the fund is asked to contact FIshline. All requests for assistance are kept confidential. "
