"With growing pressure to approve the final plat for Poulsbo Place, the Poulsbo City Council is faced with a tough decision. Developers of the Jensen Way housing project are raring to go and even went so far as to schedule closing dates prior to receiving council's blessing on the plat. The city has already bent over backwards to help Security Properties, Inc. through the approval and development process. Next Wednesday, though, council could be taken to task when the final plat proposal comes before it for the final yeah or nay. If the city acts rashly and, once again, concedes to the developers, residents could very well be put in harm's way. Should the city strain so much that it's spine snaps? Or should the council, which is in full support of the project, hold fast until it has been determined that all the necessary requirements for the final plat have been met? When the safety of its citizens is in question, there can be only one answer. "
