INDIANOLA — Daniel C. Lang, 30, of Port Orchard is charged in Kitsap County Superior Court with forgery.

An Indianola resident reported on Feb. 14 that two checks totaling $845.74 were stolen from his mailbox.

A witness said she saw the checks being stolen, and that another neighbor cashed the checks for the suspect. Copies of the canceled checks had the victim’s forged signature on them, endorsed by a female known to Lang.

Lang was booked into Kitsap County Jail for forgery and two counts of failure to appear.
