POULSBO — Nickolas T. Cobb, 27 of Poulsbo, is charged with second-degree theft for allegedly stealing two chainsaws from a residence.
A Kitsap County Sheriff's deputy responded to a call on Central Valley Road on Jan. 25 about 1:20 a.m. The reporting party said he saw a man riding a bicycle down his shared driveway, carrying a chainsaw. He described the man as white, in his 20s, and wearing a hat.
The reporting party contacted his neighbors, who found their detached-garage door open and two chainsaws missing, together valued at $900. According to the report, the deputy followed bicycle tire prints in the mud to a makeshift shed on Central Valley Road, where Cobb was found. Cobb reportedly admitted stealing the chainsaws.
Cobb was booked into Kitsap County Jail on $25,000 bail.
