POULSBO — Less than three weeks before Little Norway’s annual Third of July celebration, political fireworks are already going off.

At issue are the access to the newly planted grass in Waterfront Park and the closure of Front Street between 3rd Avenue and Sunset Street from 7 p.m. July 3 to 12:30 a.m. July 4.

Buses are scheduled to bring people from the College Marketplace Wal-Mart parking lot to Front Street and from the Clearwater Casino parking lot and North Kitsap High School to the Poulsbo Marine Science Center parking lot.

“We’re going to see how it goes this year,” said MorMor Bistro owner John Nesby. “Our concern is that we’re going to have a ton of pedestrians that feel stranded in downtown.”

The 13 planned buses might not be enough to circulate the estimated 6,000
