POULSBO — Bond Road near the Kitsap Medical Center will be closed beginning at 8:30 p.m. July 13 and will last until 7:30 p.m. July 17. Crews will be installing culverts beneath the road to improve fish migration.

The Washington State Department of Transportation has advised motorists to plan for 10-minute delays.

“We do expect it to cause some congestion,” said WSDOT communications specialist Jamie Swift. “This work is important to completing our schedule. It’s really necessary.”

During the closure, an alternate route will be provided. Those needing to access the North Kitsap Medical Center during the road closure will still be able to access it from State Route 305. Those needing to reach the apartments on First Avenue Northeast can take Lindvig Way.

A second closure is planned for next month, during which State Route 307 near the Valley Nursery will be shut down from 8:30 p.m. Aug. 17 through 5:30 a.m. Aug. 20.
