BREMERTON — Because of freezing weather conditions, Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management has activated the county’s Severe Weather Shelter Plan.
This year there is only one shelter: Bremerton Food Line, 1600 12th St. It will open at 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 9, and re-open again Saturday and Sunday nights. Hours of operation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. Guests will not be able to check into the shelter after 10 p.m.
The shelter will serve all residents of our area who require safe overnight refuge where none is available.
For more information, call 211 or call Kitsap Community Resources at (360) 478-2301.
