Flood advisory extended until 6:30 p.m. today (Oct. 31)

A flood advisory in Kitsap County has been extended until 6:30 p.m. today, Oct. 31.The original advisory was for 10 a.m., but the continuing rainfall changed that.

Almost 2 inches of rain has fallen in the Puget Sound area in the past 24 hours. Another 1-2 inches is expected today.

The rain will cause minor flooding of urban areas and small streams, according to the National Weather Service.
