Puppy taken from Poulsbo house

POULSBO — A three-week-old puppy was reported stolen from a residence near Poulsbo Oct. 10.

A resident on the 21000 block of Port Gamble Road near Lincoln Road reported a burglary between 5:30-6:30 p.m.

He returned after an hour of being away from his house to find the front window wide open. According to the report, he said he leaves it cracked open for his cat to get out, but never wide open.

Inside, the man found a cupboard door in the kitchen open, and his bedroom closet rifled through and contents thrown around the room, but didn't notice anything missing.

In the laundry room, however, he has several three-week-old Husky/Golden Retriever/German Shepherd-mix puppies. One of the puppies was missing.

The puppy is a male with yellow hair and is not weaned yet.

There were no suspects as of Monday. The Kitsap County sheriff's officer noted in the report this was the second reported burglary on Port Gamble Road this month.
