A 17-year-old Poulsbo boy and 19-year-old Poulsbo man were taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton after sustaining serious injuries in a car crash about midnight Monday.

The Ford F 150 truck they were driving had gone off the road and through 70 feet of blackberry brambles before crashing into a tree on Highway 305 near Totten Road.

“It looked bad enough that we thought there was a need to airlift them to Harborview at first, until we pulled them out.” said Jody Matson, public information officer with the Poulsbo Fire Department.

Traffic was slowed to one lane for an hour. Police are investigating the accident.
