POULSBO — Traffic in the north and southbound lanes is impeded on Highway 3 after a four-door passenger car crashed into the median just after 2 p.m.

The driver of the car and her passenger were taken away in an ambulance to Harrison Medical Center. Poulsbo Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Matson said the two were taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, and doesn't believe there were any serious injuries.

The crash occurred just south of the Finn Hill exit, in the northbound lane.

Traffic is limited to a single lane in both directions.

The cause of this crash was not known at the time this story was posted.
