KINGSTON — A man was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary in Kingston Aug. 21.

Matthew M. Bolex, 32, is charged with second-degree burglary. The sheriff’s report listed Bolex’s residence as unknown.

A witness called 9-1-1 to report a burglary in progress. A sheriff’s deputy arrived two blocks from the residence. When spotted, the suspect “took off running,” according to the report.

Witnesses reportedly saw the suspect change clothes in McDonald’s and flee again. Two deputies pursued the suspect on foot and captured him.

The witness identified Bolex as the burglary suspect. According to the report, several jewelry items were found in Bolex’s backpack, along with a flashlight, work gloves, a knife, binoculars and a prybar. The residence’s owner identified the jewelry as stolen.

Bolex was booked into Kitsap County Jail on $50,000 bail.
