POULSBO — Noll Road and the Poulsbo Elementary School parking lot were packed Sept. 5 as parents said goodbye to their children, and students said hello to their teachers.

Camera flashes went off and smartphones recorded first steps into school as the first day of the 2012-13 school year in the North Kitsap School District began.

It's a school year that includes many changes to building and administrative positions, including a new superintendent and rearrangement of principal positions.
