Kids Grief Day Camp by Hospice of Kitsap County

POULSBO — On Thursday, Hospice of Kitsap County is inviting kids ages 3-18 who live in Kitsap County to a free Grief Day Camp. This day camp is fun and save place for kids who are experiencing grief and loss in their lives.

When families face the death of someone they love, all members of the family cope differently, if they are able to cope at all. The Kids Grief Day Camp is a place where kids will meet others in their community facing loss, get the tools they need to deal with their everyday lives, and have some fun too.

This camp offers kids coping skills, remembrance arts and crafts, and games and activities taught by Hospice of Kitsap County licensed counseling professionals. Please note that painting is one of the activities, so please wear appropriate clothing.

The day camp takes place from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Aug. 2 at the Silverwood School, 14000 Central Valley Road NW, Poulsbo.

Register for the Kid’s Grief Day Camp at (360) 698-4611. If needed, parents or guardians of young children are also invited. At the time of registering please inform us if a parent or guardian will be attending. A release form is required for children without a parent or guardian. Please call for details.

Healthy lunch and snacks will be provided. If your child suffers from any allergies, please advise when registering.
