KINGSTON — Electrician's Mate 2nd Class Joseph Miller, assigned to Naval Hospital Bremerton, was found dead in his private residence in Kingston on June 20, the hospital’s public affairs officer reported.

The cause of death is unknown and is under investigation by local authorities, according to Douglas H. Stutz, Naval Hospital Bremerton public affairs officer.

According to Stutz, Miller was 25 and a native of Plymouth, Mass. The hospital’s patient administration, pastoral care, and casualty assistance control officer “are providing ongoing support to the family,” Stutz wrote in a press release.

“Our primary concern at this time is for the family and loved ones who are affected. Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to them. Naval Hospital Bremerton’s family, along with our entire Navy community, will continue to assist them through this very difficult time.”
