Officers involved in fatal Poulsbo shooting are back on duty

POULSBO — Two police officers involved the fatal shooting of a suspect at the Les Schwab Tire Center Feb. 8 have returned to duty.

County Prosecutor Russ Hauge determined in a preliminary review that the shooting was justified. An internal review was also completed, and Police Chief Dennis Swiney determined that Officer John Halsted and Sgt. Bob Wright could return to full duty April 24. They were on administrative duty during the investigation.
