This version removes an earlier reference to oyster habitat research conducted by a Jonathan Davis. That Davis is reportedly another person.

POULSBO — Andrea Nix has resigned as recording secretary of the Poulsbo Port Commission. The commission on Monday appointed Jonathan Davis to the position. Davis is a seasonal employee who works at the fuel dock and in the guest moorage office.

Commission Chairman Tony DeCarlo said Nix resigned citing the volume of work, which involves transcribing minutes of port commission meetings. The recording secretary is paid $100 a meeting and receives additional pay for other work, such as research, DeCarlo said.

The port commission usually meets on the first and third Thursday of each month in the multipurpose room on E Dock, 18809 Front St. The meetings are open to the public.
