POULSBO — A Poulsbo man allegedly shot his friend in the head, called police and waited at the scene for them to arrive. A Kingston man said he robbed the Timberland Bank in Poulsbo because he's unemployed, behind in his rent and needs the money. On a happier note, North Kitsap's Jake Velarde won his third state wrestling title, Kingston's Bobby Reece won his second.

Those are the some of the top stories in Feb. 24 North Kitsap Herald, available now at newsstands and in stores.
