HOOD CANAL — A midspan crash involving three vehicles has been cleared for westbound traffic on the Hood Canal Bridge.

The crash occurred about 1 p.m. and westbound traffic was backed up past Falkner Road at 1:30.

According to Krista Hedstrom of the Washington State Patrol, no parties were transported by ambulance, and one of the three vehicles was towed from the scene.

Washington State Patrol was on the scene at 1:35 p.m. Hedstrom said shortly before the bridge was about to shut down for the bridge opening, the front car in the westbound lane stopped short. She said it is unclear in what order the three cars collided.
