Sunday is the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City, Shanksville, Pa., and Washington, D.C.

The Sept. 9 North Kitsap Herald has a schedule of local commemorative events, as well as readers' memories of that day. The Herald is available now at newsstands and in stores.

This week's Herald consists of three sections and USA Weekend magazine, which has a special feature on children who were born on 9/11.

In the Herald, you'll find the latest news, Opinion, Letters, Sports, Public Meetings, North Kitsap Calendar, Kith&Kin, Newsmakers, Births, five pages of North Kitsap Business, and color photos of the first day of school. Kitsap Week is devoted to Remembering 9/11, but also has a story about this weekend's Americana Music Festival, and Kitsap Calendar, Ask Erin, Sound Classifieds and Real Estate Now. Our 16-page Wave of Pink section has information about women's health topics and services available in Kitsap County.

The Herald has been the Voice of North Kitsap since 1901. For convenient home delivery, call (360) 779-4464 or email cdano@northkitsapherald.com.
