POULSBO — A fire destroyed a Nissan Quest at Hiro's Auto Service on State Route 305 and Totten Road, early Wednesday.

Firefighters from Poulsbo, North Kitsap, Navy Region Northwest and Central Kitsap went to the scene at 4:30 a.m. When crews arrived, they discovered smoke billowing from windows, doors and eaves. When firefighters entered the building, they discovered a vehicle fully engulfed in flames.

Poulsbo Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Matson said Hiro's Auto Service’s owner was alerted of the fire by an alarm and called 911.

Damage was limited to one side of the building because of a thick firewall and crews were able to extinguish the fire within about 20 minutes, Matson said. There were no injuries.

The owners are insured. Official cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Kitsap County Fire Marshal. The fire scene is located near the scene of a cell tower that closed down State Route 305 for 12 hours Monday.
