Power out for 1,700 in North Kitsap Wednesday afternoon

SUQUAMISH — A tree brushing power lines cut electricity to about 1,700 North Kitsap customers Wednesday afternoon.

The outage was reported at about 4 p.m. Power crews were checking lines and Puget Sound Energy expected power to be restored shortly, spokeswoman Abigail Elliott said.
