The Kingston Buccaneers have the the edge in shooting and ball handling, the Squalicum Storm have the edge in rebounding and defense.

The two meet Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the Yakima Sundome in the semifinals of the State 2A Boys Basketball Tournament.

The Buccaneers were 16-4 in their fourth regular season; Squalicum, the two-time defending state champ, was 13-7.

A win today and the Buccaneers face either Burlington-Edison or Clover Park on Saturday 9 p.m., for the state title. A loss, and the Buccaneers meet the loser of the Burlington-Edison/Clover Park game for a chance at third, Saturday at 11:15 a.m.
