Kitsap voting centers open until 8 p.m.

Kitsap County voting centers will remain open until 8 p.m. Tuesday, to collect last-minute ballots for the general election.

Voters can cast ballots at the Poulsbo Fire Station at 911 NE Liberty Road, off of State Route 305. Other collection sites are open in Silverdale, Bremerton, South Kitsap and on Bainbridge Island. Mailed ballots must be postmarked on Nov. 2.

As of Monday, the Kitsap Auditor's office had collected 68,708 ballots, representing 47.8 percent of registered voters.

Initial election results are expected after 8 p.m. Tuesday. Check NorthKitsapHerald.com for updates throughout the evening.
