By the end of January, the North Kitsap School Board and district administrators plan to name a committee to discuss the possibilities of closing a school. The closure would be a measure to counteract declining enrollment and the reduction of state and federal money provided to the district.
Kingston man gets community service for Airsoft shooting
Jan 13 2012, 3:50 PM A Kingston man received 200 hours of community service for his role in an Airsoft shooting last year. George C. Hill III was charged with three counts of fourth-degree assault, one count of third-degree theft, and one count of third-degree attempted theft for some incidents that occurred June 15. In the diversion agreement with Kitsap County District Court Dec. 30, Hill agreed to community service as well as fines and restitution. The agreement is for five years.
