Sheriff’s spokesman Scott Wilson said Port Gamble S'Klallam police officers, assisted by Suquamish police officers and sheriff’s officers, arrived at the house on Second Avenue in Suquamish shortly before 3 p.m. to serve the warrant. After entering the house, a man was being taken into custody when another person, seated, reached for a concealed weapon and fired, according to Wilson's report. Officers returned fire, and the shooter is believed to have been shot.

Inside the house, on the living room floor, was the body of another man, shot by police after he allegedly pulled a gun and opened fire two hours earlier when they attempted to serve the warrant on the other man.

Stacy Stanley Callihoo, 42, a Port Gamble S’Klallam man, was sought on a warrant issued by Port Gamble S'Klallam tribal court. According to the county jail booking log, Callihoo was being held without bail Friday morning for failure to appear in tribal court for allegedly violating his probation. He was on probation for indecent liberties and assault.
