Stephen Howard Anderson was born March 23, 1948, in Anchorage, Alaska to Howard and Helen Anderson, and passed away peacefully on Feb. 12, 2011.

Steve graduated from North Kitsap High School, class of 1966. After high school, Steve spent a few early years in the Army before settling down in Western Washington to raise his family. He attended the University of Washington School of Forestry, where he found his passion. He joined Weyerhaeuser Company in 1974 as a forester in the Snoqualmie and Enumclaw areas. For those who knew him, he was most at home out in the woods cruising timber. He had a long and rewarding career, before retiring as a timber evaluation and exchange manager in February of this year.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie, and son, Bryce. His family includes brother Brent; sisters Myrna, Debbie, Becky; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by many great friends and co-workers.
