Zombies invade the Kitsap Fairgrounds Oct. 17
October 7, 2009 · 12:23 PM
Inline with the recurring cultural fascination provoking motion pictures like the mainstream “Zombieland” and “Zombies of Mass Destruction”(an indie film set and shot in Port Gamble in 2007), zombies are invading the Kitsap County Fairgrounds Presidents Hall Oct. 17 for an evening of costume contests, live music, haunted fairgrounds and more.
Silverdale merchant The RockIt Roost will host the ages 16-and-over Zombie 4 Ransom Party, from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Live music on the evening will be provided by Safari, Billy Dwayne and the Creepers, the reunited Wreckin Machine and Hard Money Saints. While a beer and wine garden, featuring the local Silver City brews, will be hosted by Toad House Pizza.
In addition, the RockIt Roost will host a zombie pin-up contest, while local merchants Gore-a-Go-Go and Hair Poison will be dolling up patrons as the undead and donations for the Kitsap County HIV and Aids Foundation will go to freeing a zombie held ransom.
Tickets are $15 in advance, $25 at the door, available at the RockIt Roost, 10516 Silverdale Way, next to Honeybaked Ham.
