The Poulsbo Sons of Norway will play host to a traditional folk dancing group at 7 p.m. on Aug. 10. BUK Kongsberg, from Kongsberg, Norway, will perform at the Sons, 18891 Front St., Poulsbo.

The group, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary, debuted its “In Step and Off Beat,” a dance program displaying historical folk dance from the 16th century to today.

The group’s 25 members range in ages from 11 to 70 and include musicians playing fiddle, hardanger fiddle, the accordian, the flute and the guitar.

There will be a folk dance workshop beginning at 3 p.m. at the lodge. A potluck for workshop attendees, Sons members and their guests is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Admission is a $5 donation, school-age children is free.
