East Bremerton Rotary sponsors another ‘Blast From the Past’
May 1, 2009 · Updated 11:25 AM
A night on the town for the East Bremerton Rotary, May 2.
On the heels of one of the Rotary's biggest annual fundraisers — the RAGS community garage sale — the East Bremerton Rotary is already back in the swing of its fundraising ways with the 20th annual Blast From the Past.
Every year following the RAGS sale, the Rotary lets loose with a night of swing dancing, classic cars and community.
With a classic soundtrack provided by the Vegas-style show band Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts this year, there will be classic food, classic tunes, classic cars and classic fashions for a good old time social from 7 p.m. to midnight May 2.
In addition to the car show and social, dance lessons, a dance contest and a “Malt Shop” dance performnace by the local Peninsula Dance Theatre are also slated for the evening.
Tickets are $20 pre-paid, $25 at the door, $15 for active duty military. Find more info at blast.eastbremertonrotary.org.
