February 6, 2009 · 1:56 PM
In an issue rife with art exhibits and artist remembrance, we’d be remiss if we didn’t give you the results of one of Kitsap’s biggest art shows of the year.
The second annual CVG Show opened Feb. 1 at Collective Visions Gallery in downtown Bremerton with more than 100 artists competing for more than $8,000 in prize money.
And the winners are:
• Best in Show: “In My Element” by Kathy Liao, Seattle.
• Photographic Arts: “Kirby Mayview Road” by Kay Walsh, Bainbridge.
• Three Dimensional Arts: “Last Stand” by Karen Rudd, Seattle.
• Two Dimensional Arts: “Demolition # 6” by Tom Hall, Seattle.
The People’s Choice Award will be presented tonight, see What’s Up for First Friday on Page 5 for more on that. The show will hang through February with special events each week.
