Leo Kottke in solo concert March 15 | Kitsap Week

February 28, 2013 · Updated 3:03 PM

BREMERTON — Grammy-nominated acoustic guitarist Leo Kottke will perform a solo concert at the Admiral Theatre March 15, 7 p.m.

It will be Kottke’s first appearance in Bremerton in more than two years.

Kottke (www.leokottke.com) is a walking contradiction — slow talking, thoughtful almost to distraction.  Yet when he picks up a steel-stringed guitar, his fingers race across the strings with uncommon speed, developing a deep, churning groove that can at times sound like several people playing at once.

Kottke, 67, has recorded more than 30 albums that showcase his barnstorming fretwork and quirky songwriting.

Tickets: Admiral Theatre Box Office, (360) 373-6743, or online at www.admiraltheatre.org.
