A night of jazz Feb. 16 | Kitsap Week

BREMERTON — The Ray Ohls Quintet, a classic jazz piano group, performs Feb. 16, 7-9 p.m., at Collective Visions Gallery, 331 Pacific Ave., Bremerton.

Tickets are $16 in advance, $18 at the door. Call (360) 377-8327.

Pianist Ohls will be joined by Jay Gillespie, saxophone; Rich Hanks, trombone; Tim Malland, drums; and Rick White, electric bass. They will play original compositions by Ohls as well as improvisational music in the jazz piano trio format.

Ohls is a retired Navy musician who has performed for presidents and heads of state. He teaches basic and jazz piano at Olympic College in Bremerton.
