In 1970, renowned writer-composer-lyricist Leslie Bricusse adapted the classic Charles Dickens tale, “A Christmas Carol,” into the hit screen musical “Scrooge!”
Like the film, the musical closely follows the plot of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” in which the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge undergoes a profound experience of redemption over the course of a Christmas Eve night, after being visited by the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.
The WWCA production is sponsored by Amy’s on the Bay, located on the waterfront in downtown Port Orchard.
Western Washington Center for the Arts is a not-for-profit organization, dedicated to promoting the arts in Kitsap County, particularly in Port Orchard and the surrounding communities.
WWCA is celebrating its 10th season in the “Little Playhouse on the Waterfront,” a 1918 building and 79-seat venue for live theater.
