Emo kids beware.

The Ironhead Saloon is bringing two of Seattle’s gnarliest punk rock bands out to Bremerton this Friday. Chances are most emo kids won’t be hanging out a place like the Ironhead anyhow, but they might want to take special heed March 21 as All Bets on Death and thrash metal band 12 Gauge Saint will share the stage with Dicktionhead, self-professed “pioneers of tardcore punk rock.”

Slam dancing and PBR spewing commence around 9:30 p.m.

STONE AXE with Bender and Golden Pig Electric Blues Band, 9:30 p.m. March 22 at the Winterland, 1220 Sylvan Way in Bremerton. $5 cover, 21+. Info: or call (360) 479-5686.

Stone Axe’s rhythm section, Marshal and Harley Trotland, must be in the clouds right now.

Last week they were in Austin, Texas, jamming the South by Southwest Festival with Mike Herrera from MxPx and their original Americana side project Tumbledown. Then the Trotland brothers flew back, and a day later kicked out the jams at the Manette with their original bluegrass southern-rockish band the Rocky Point All Stars.

This Saturday they’ll be throwing down with their latest concoction — Stone Axe — a throwback of highly esteemed local rockers with Marshal and Harley on bass and drums, Dru Brinkerhoff, former lead singer of the Swinos on lead vocals, and Tony Reed, of Mos Generator, on six-string.

It’s bound to get heavy with local metalheads Bender and Seattle’s Golden Pig Electric Blues Band on the bill as well.

Bainbridge Island banjoist Wes Corbett returns to the island with his band Joy Kills Sorrow which recently won first prize at the Podunk Bluegrass Festival in Hartford, Conn.

They are a modern American string band that blends traditional and contemporary influences through original compositions.

At the Island Music Hall they’ll be blending with the Django Reinhardt inspired, Hot Club Sandwich — a gypsy jazz band with everything on it, heavy on the humor — for a toe-tapping evening of live music.
